Welcome to District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Dharmapuri
District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Dharmapuri, is a district-level institute offering teacher education programmes for elementary education. Established in 2007, the institute is partially funded by the Ministry of Education (formerly the Ministry of Human Resource Development) and administered by the School Education Department through the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Chennai.
DIET Dharmapuri Located at Settikarai – 636704, in Dharmapuri District, the institute is equipped with facilities such as smart classrooms and virtual classrooms to meet the needs of aspiring student teachers as well as in-service teachers in the district, from Classes I to XII.
The institute also provides academic support to educational organisations such as Samagra Shiksha, National Child Labour Project (NCLP), and the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) and etc.
